Website design and redesign for Ontario businesses
Your website should make it easy for people to understand what you do, find what they need, and take the next step.

I’m Greg Hahn, a web designer and consultant based in Guelph. I help small and medium-sized businesses across Ontario plan and build websites that explain their services clearly and are easy to use.
Whether you’re starting your first site or ready to replace an existing one, we’ll begin with your business, your customers, and what the website needs to do.
A website that fits where your business is now
Perhaps you’ve added services that your website barely mentions, and customers keep calling for details you thought were easy to find. Or you’ve noticed the site is awkward to use on a phone.
Those problems should shape the redesign. I’ll help work out where people need more information and how they should move through the site before we choose layouts and colours.
If you already have a website, we’ll look at what’s worth keeping, what needs improving, and how to move useful content into the new structure.
What we can build together
I’ll put together a proposal around the pages and features your business needs. The work can include:
- Clear navigation and service pages. Help visitors find the right information without having to work out where it belongs.
- Design that fits your business. Layouts, type and colours that work together across phones, tablets and larger screens.
- Well-organized content. Put the important details where people need them, with clear headings and useful next steps.
- Ways to get in touch. Contact forms and links that make it straightforward to ask a question or discuss a project.
- Search foundations. Plan page topics, titles and links alongside the design, so your services are clearly described and connected.
- A considered launch. Review the agreed pages, forms and layouts, and plan how an existing site will be replaced.
If you need help writing content, adding a booking system or building a custom tool, we can discuss that when we scope the project.
How the project works
We’ll begin with your current site, what you want to change and the content you already have. I’ll use that conversation to prepare a proposal covering the work, price and timing, including what I’ll need from you.
You’ll review the design and try a working preview before launch. That gives us a chance to check how the pages work and make changes while the site is still in progress.
Once you’re happy with the site and the agreed checks are complete, we’ll arrange the launch and handover, including how future updates will be managed.
Experience managing a website over time
I spent 20 years as a webmaster for a large municipality. That experience is why I pay attention to how people find information and how a site will be maintained after launch. Both belong in the design conversation.
A few common questions
Can you redesign my existing website?
Yes. We’ll review the current site and decide which content, features and assets can carry forward. The proposal will explain what needs rebuilding and how the changeover will be handled.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
We’ll discuss what you want to update and how often before choosing the setup. Editing access and any guidance you need will be part of that decision.
Can you help with the words and images?
We can include content help in the project scope. We’ll agree on what you’ll supply and where additional writing, photography or other assets are needed.
What will it cost, and how long will it take?
That depends on the pages, features, content and work involved. After we discuss your needs, I’ll provide a quote and proposed schedule so you can decide how to proceed.
Help beyond the launch
For future updates and fixes, we can discuss Website Maintenance & Support. If you need ongoing help deciding what to improve next, Website Consulting focuses on priorities and planning.
Your next step
Tell me about your website
Share your current website, if you have one, and what you’d like to change. You don’t need a detailed brief to start the conversation.
